Karin Hain was appointed as the new chair of the Mass Spectrometry Division of the German Physical Society (DPG) during the last Spring Meeting of the Atomic, Molecular, Quantum Optics and Photonics Section of this association (SAMOP), which the Mass Spectrometry Division is part of. This meeting was celebrated in Freiburg, Germany, from 11.03.2024 to 15.03.2024
In her new position, Karin Hain aims to increase the visibility of mass spectrometry and its diverse and interdisciplinary applications, from fundamental physics using precision mass measurements to the field of environmental sciences using isotope markers.
